Because time is limited, choices matter. Because there&#8217;s no second chance, this one carries weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f232c7c7bec5e54db7eb252c2faee609\" style=\"color:#000000a1;font-size:30px\">The Unfinished Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nietzsche never pretended this would be easy. He worried, in fact, that most people would simply replace God with lesser substitutes, nationalism, ideology, blind consumerism, rather than doing the harder work of building meaning consciously. Some of the twentieth century&#8217;s darkest chapters can be read as evidence he was right to worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the alternative he gestured toward, however demanding, remains available: a meaning that doesn&#8217;t require metaphysical guarantees, built instead through freely chosen commitments, honest reckoning with mortality, and connection with others doing the same difficult work. The death of God, on this reading, wasn&#8217;t an ending.
